Old Women

This photo reminded me of a poem I read in the book, When I am an Old Woman I shall wear Purple.

excerpt from
OLD WOMEN

***
Now twined around each other
arm in arm down the sidewalk,
defying the dark grave
with their colors and perfume,
old women
tending time more fragile than youth:
poinsettias in the snow.

  2. I think that someday when we go to the mall, we will look like that. (And that's you holding me up, by the way, because I broke my hip) hahahaha

  3. I'm not saying that I DID break my hip... just so you know... not yet... anyway... enough with the "..." already!
