I just couldn't help myself, I had to do it! I can' t pass up the chance to flashback to the 80's! There is so much that this meme didn't cover though. Remember Vanilla Ice? MC Hammer?Who could possibly forget Skid Row. Sebastian Bach was the love of my life. I was sure that we would get married and have the most beautiful blond haired babies. I have visions of toddlers with long flowing hair singing their hearts out, LOL! What was the name of the talent show for kids? I was sure Sebastian and my children would be on that show someday. HAhah!
Here are a few things I remember: Popples, Stirrup pants, Monchichi's (funny monkey's), Pop top Pencils, Spirographs, Hyper Color Shirts, Puffalumps (brother got one and I didn't:{ ), Alvin and the Chipmonks, A Team, High top Reebok's, Easy Bake ovens, Ribbon Barrettes, who could forget Water Weenies and "Where's the Beef?". Smurfs, any one? They give me the creeps now that I think back on them. Pappa Smurf and the rest of the gang and only Smurfette to keep them all happy........Whew!
Wow what a trip!
Thanks Misty!!

42. Wally-World or Europe? What???
43. What was your favorite movie from the 80's? Ferris Bulers Day Off and of course anything Molly Ringwald was in.
AQUANET! I decided not to post my 80s memories in that form since I am so TV and music illiterate. Don't I sound intellectually superior when I say it that way?! Anyhow we had no TV and my parents didn't believe in secular radio either. I was socially stunted. Still haven't caught up, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteWell I was so stunted that I had to look most of it up on the internet! Ah, I know it's cheating~but since we were a welfare family and we only had TV for about 2 years(in which time I caught up on alot of commercials and programs), I couldn't help it. What an excuse!
ReplyDeleteoh man...
ReplyDeleteGreat memories... there is SO MUCH about that decade. MC HAMMER and VANILLA ICE is more very early 90's. So weird to me that two back to back decades can be SOOOO different!
i had a barbie and the rockers doll with the tape too...
Ah... this takes me back to a time that I'd rather NOT re-live!
