Attitude of Gratitude

I am trying my hand at a new habit. Some days it is very difficult, others it is easy-peasy.  I am working on keeping a grateful heart. I am looking, deliberately, for things to be grateful for. Every day.  Grateful everyday...whodathunkit? I think its a brilliant plan.

I have accountability too.  My three farm chickie friends are joining in. Cara, Miriam and Lexie are seeking out their grateful heart as well. Together we will cultivate an attitude of gratitude. For, a cord of many strands is not easily broken. Sounds cheesy, I know, but I like cheese.

Trying to be grateful without being contrived is hard, hard with a capital H. Purposefully documenting a grateful thought is hard. Some days just being grateful is hard.

Today I struggled with my gratefulness. Today, nothing seemed to be right. I was a huge grump yesterday and I think that grump bled over into my Tuesday.  Who needs Mondays anyway?  Mondays make my brain hurt. And fall off and roll around in the dirt.

While I wrestle with my grump, my brain and my want of gratefulness I will leave you with a question.

What are you grateful for today?

  1. I'm grateful that we have the weekly cycle to remind us of God and all his Sevens. What a divine plan he has for us and that Monday is always there to remind that after the Holy Day of rest the next Day will Dawn and a new Era will begin. Praise God for new beginnings and this wonderful Promise of a Blessed time for this Earth

  6. I'm grateful for YOU! You've stuck right by me like dirt ever since we learned that we could make each other wet our pants from laughing too hard. Distance might separated us, and time might go by between talks, but you're as steadfast as they come. You've been right there to watch me cry, watch me rejoice, watch me fall, and help pick me back up again. You're an angel sent from above and I'm so SO grateful God blessed me with you!
